BBC Landward

BBC Landward

10 years ago, BBC Landward featured Lovat Mill in Hawick, where they had the Landward Tweed designed and woven.

As a follow up, the Landward team visited Castle Douglas with the tweed. Andrew transformed this lovely tweed into a stylish bespoke jacket for Dougie Vipond. You can see Dougie's fitting in the clip below.

This clip has been reshown this week (Monday 30th May 2022) preceding another tailoring feature.

It was great to see Dougie proudly wearing the jacket 10 years later and still looking so good.

It's probably not the first thing that comes to mind when we talk about sustainability, but a well tailored jacket from a quality tweed can last a lifetime.

It was lovely to work with Dougie who as well as being a BBC Scotland Presenter is the talented drummer in Deacon Blue.
